Fellow Wiscosinite here.
We were bowhunting the 1st week of October. I missed a shot at this big boy.
It was a slow week hunting-wise. Very hot, full moon...I don't know. We didn't see as many deer as we normally do. Makes this miss sting a lot more.
I passed on the one in the back (at 15 yards), because the big boy was watching from the pines...didn't want to get busted by him. That one in the back doesn't look too bad either!!
Your going to be in the Hills during prime time. Growing up in and hunting it for 20yrs I can count on 1 hand the number of bucks my father, brother and myself have shot in the first half of NovemberI'm going to bump this one up!! 2 weeks from today we roll west. Looks like the snow is gone for now and the temps are returning to normal this week. I hope they are still moving in 2 weeks!! I can't wait.

Great deer. I would be super happy with one like that!!!Just left there Thursday and they are a courting. Three of us took 4 x 4's. Nephew got the nice one. Pretty good for the Hills. Watch out for the kitty kats. He saw one of those to.
Looks rough!!! The next 3 days of work are going to be LOOOONNNNGGGGGG!BTW, plenty of places to glass in the Hills. Kicked back right now eating lunch and watching about 50 elk on a hillside about 3/4 mile away. View attachment 162506
