I don't have the time or patience to search all the old threads. I am leaving friday for Kodiak. Hopefully weather and airlines willing, we will be landing at 5:30 pm on Friday. I have been putting in a hunting schedule (That has been qouted somewhere before :D :D ) that would kill a normal man. Mountain goat, Missouri breaks bulls and whitetails in the northwest corner. I can't beleive it is already time to head north. YOu guys that that have been please post some pics of some bucks so I can't get my fix and sleep at night.

I have already watched the dynamic dous video on youtube 5 times in the past two days and hope it is that good this year. I also looked at Moosies post with the pics and can only get a few pics to come up ( one of them is his wife with a peacock????? WTF)
Thanks guys and I will try to post a story with pics when I get back that will rival my Oryx hunt from January.

Hope you have a great time on kodiak! Hope to get there myself someday soon.

Here's mine from two years back:

Sorry man, When we lost all the pictures earlier this year I haven't re-uploade dthem. I will get some up, but prolly not before you leave. The wife and the Peacock.. Uhhhhh I'm jsut glad it's not the other one I uploaded ;)

I'll be headed up on the 8th, hopefully when I get back to NM on the 21st I'll have plenty of pictures to post. Have fun.

thanks guys. Exactly what I needed. WFGinNM good luck yourself it should be an adventure.

That last buck is pretty neat I would love to hang a tag on something unusaaul, uhhh unesul, uhhh unusuuel (forget it) something different!!!!.
all of the above bucks would work just fine

Buzz, I haven't seen many hunting pictures of you without a hat. You might want to keep it that way.

Well I usually pass up a pile of bucks every year looking for a monster then end up shooting a scrub for meat. Maybe I'll finally put a pig one down in a couple weeks on my elk hunt. Here's a few anyway....

Thanks Paul, Just bought an extra chip for my camera so I'll be snapping away like a tourist.

TB Any recomandations on place to eat or decent bar in Kodiak? We are staying in town for friday night and again the following Saturday when we come back out. The last thing I want to see for 10 days is any kind of BEEF!!

4 more days!!!!

Henry's is a good place to eat and they have a nice bar. Friday night special is prime rib, but the halibut is always good. The Channel Side Chowder House is a good place to have fish and chips for lunch. The Kodiak Inn also has a nice restaurant, but its a little pricey for what you get. Other than Henry's bar there's Tony's and the Village, which are both in the Mall area near Henry's. Stay clear of the B&B, its a crewmans bar and can get a little rough, the Mecca is a younger crowd, and Bernie's gets the Phillipino crowd.
Hope that helps.

Now Hntnhrd won't get much hunting in cause he's gonna to be at the B&B the whole time. Over in Missoula, I hear they like like their seamen rough. :D
