So what is your estimate for the number of snows? I don't have enough fingers in toes to count.
Me either. 🤣 If I had better equipment we could actually do a count.

I think these birds are coming from a nearby WPA where they are roosting. Last Friday, we estimated 250,000 - 300,000 came off of that location to go feed, but we were kind of busy looking at some oil reclamation projects and not really counting. Based on weekend trends in other parts of our area, I would guess this is somewhat less than that. We lost a lot of birds over the weekend. But this year has had one of the biggest goose migrations I’ve ever seen come through here.

Honestly AI could count that pretty easily. But that replaces actual people, biologists, and I can't support that

Oddly, the Freezeout Lake WMA near Fairfield is experiencing an unprecedented low count of snows so far.

Saw a monster bull in this drainage in S. Utah. It's odd seeing Doug Fir and Ponderosa among the red rock.
