Whenever I come across old homesites like this I can't help but wonder what life was like for the people that lived there. Sometimes I wish that I could trade places with them and enjoy the good ol' days. However, after I get home and flip on the lights, turn on running water and take a nice hot shower, I admit to myself - I ain't tough enough for the old days.

I get caught up in those thoughts so much i wander around looking for where the outhouse may have been or what the draw was to a particular area. Or more importantly what kept them in such harsh environments long enough to build something. I think i was born a 100 or so years too late, but your right; running hot water is nice.
