Any plans for the long weekend? This is the last big weekend of the summer up at the cabin. Im gonna do some fishin and smoke a pork loin for the potluck we have with the other cabin owners. I also plan on ckecking the trail cams and do some more scouting before the Iowa deer youth season.

Starting to pull my gear together for my early October lope hunt, do a little shooting. Plus cookout with friends.

Provided the weather cooperates and small aircraft travel is possible, I should be setting up moose camp off the Yukon river in Alaska on Labor Day. Much anticipation will be the case as we wait for our first legal day of hunting on Tuesday.

In Colorado now. Camp set up. Archery elk opens Saturday! Hanging out with two of my daughters and grandkids a few days before the hunt. They both live in Kremmling so pretty handy for a visit with all of them. Hope the elk are ready for me!

Saturday and Sunday in Kooskia hanging out with family, then hopefully looking for goats on Monday, opening day in my unit.

At the lake getting in on another great Walleye fishing weekend, weather permitting. With all the rain Fort Peck has come up almost 2 feet in 4 days.

If not will just relax around the the house and finish up some honey do list items.

My oldest has a football game on Saturday. The rest of the weekend will probably be spent entertaining some, yet to be determined, number of my wife's family. Far from a dream long weekend...

Yesterday was grand-daughter's birthday so we had a dinner get together....this Saturday at 10am., yes LD weekend, is the official party day. Maddens' B-day's require an entire week.
