Kimber 84m classic vs Savage 110 long range hunter

Looking for my next whitetail rifle. If you had your option, would you go Kimber 84m Classic or the Savage 110 Long Range Hunter. My LGS has both.

Kimber, purely subjective. Mine operates well. I know nothing about Savage.

Test 'em if you can. If they are both equally acceptably accurate, I'd lean toward the Kimber. I've got the M84 in 308 and have taken maybe 15 deer/elk/pronghorn with it. I love hunting with it, but I wish it were a bit more accurate.

This- I also have 2. 338 Federal and 308. Both are great performers. Also, I'm a snob.

I have an older Savage LRH which is an exceptionally accurate rifle for the money. The downside of the Savage is the weight, junky stock, and overall finish of rifle. It's not a pretty rifle and seems a bit "plastic" but it shoots well.
Minnesota Hunter summed it up, the Kimber is "Certainly a more refined package."

I have a Kimber classic and the cheaper Hunter model and I prefer their aesthetics over the two Savages I own. The Savage's push action bolt feels much sloppier then the control round feed of the Kimber. I would choose the Kimber over the Savage.

Only rifle I ever regretted buying was a Savage 110, was sure glad when I solid it. I’ve buy the Kimber over a Savage any day.

I have 2 Kimber Classics, one in a .300 WSM, the other a 7mm-08. Both shoot very well and are a joy to carry in the field. I also prefer wood stocks and blued rifles. At this point I guess it comes down to your preference in wood vs synthetic. Either way I hope you enjoy whichever one you purchase.

I've got a Kimber Classic 308 - It will shoot 0.75 MOA with two different factor loads that I have found after trying a bunch of options. It really likes the 165 gr Trophy Bonded Tip. And does nearly as well with a 180 gr Partition.

I have a savage 111 in 308 that I hunted with for some time. The stock is cheap and flexes too much, the finish started rusting three years in despite regular cleaning and climate controlled storage. However, it shoots and the trigger is great for a gun at that price point. It feels like a cheap gun, but does what it is intended to do. It is now a truck/rain gun.
For the money, it is hard to beat a Weatherby Vanguard. They shoot great and feel solid.
