Kentucky did the live drawing, making you watch a 1.5hr graduation roll call with nobody walking to not have to wait 5 more days to get your results online. Between every hunt was 5+ minutes of commercials. Was killing me. I eventually set my camcorder up to record my laptop screen so I could go do something productive and come back and watch it at 8x at the end. Didn’t draw, as expected.

They made it sound like they are going to be moving towards a preference point system. “We’re going to be making some changes to benefit those that support and invest in our program every year.” Something to that effect.

I’d guess >97% residents.

Anyway, hope someone on here drew.

No love here but didn't expect any either. Someone said they had 95k apps for the less than 600 tags drawn. They did make reference to some type of point system they wanted to put in place. Let's hope not.

I looked through it. seemed like about 2 nonresidents drew. kind of a eye opener. I figured they gave more NR tags than they do.

Well it appears KY may have shown their stance on a point system for the elk draw. Hopefully it never happens these point schemes are killing our sport in the long run. I thought some of the numbers were interesting. I'd take a guess those numbers are way higher today than around 2015.

Was glad to read their conclusion. With such a low number of tags and astronomical applicants, neither point system makes sense.

I know it’s a competitive tag, but I still throw my name in it because I spend $20 on stupider stuff. If it went to a point system there’s no way I’d keep making donations for it.

Strange because during the live draw we both heard them allude to a future announcement re a point system to reward long term investors in the system.
