'Tis the season of discounts. We always tell people to not pay full retail. Well, between now and November 30, 2024, Kenetrek is having its big fall discount sale where boots are anywhere from 20-50% off.

If you want to get a free pair of hunting gaiters, in addition to big savings on some great boots, here's your chance. Just make sure you use Promo Code RANDY at checkout. They also said that anyone entering their website through our landing page will have the Promo Code automatically entered. Not sure how that works, but here is the landing page link - https://kenetrek.com/pages/randy?utm_source=Affiliates&utm_medium=link&utm_campaign=RANDYCODE

These boots I wore on my sheep/caribou hunt, and that now have four seasons on them, are the Mountain Guides. They are a bit stiffer than the Mountain Extremes, making them great for rock piles and crazy slopes like in a sheep hunt. They are my "go to" boot from pretty much any mountain hunting. I also have Mountain Extremes that are great, also. This year I wore the Bridger High Hikers for most of the warm season and I loved them. Point being, whatever hunting you do, Kenetrek has a boot for you and your hunt.

Don't pay full retail - get a deal today.

I've been wanting to try a pair for years but don't have a place to try on for size. How do these compare to Danner or Mendl sizing?

My experience was they are true to size. I was in the same boat, could not try em on. So ordered my usual size and they are dead on. Fit perfect.

I’m normally a size 11 in most all of my shoes but my Mountain Extremes are 10.5. 11’s were just a tad big. I’m on my second pair of 10.5 and they are perfect. Also have a buddy that’s also .5 smaller in his Kennetreks than his normal size.

I am a 12 in everything else, but i have three pairs of Kennetreks and I am a 13 in all of them, Hardscrabble, Mountain Extreme, and Grizzly Pac

i like the corrie have a few pairs, but the randy code doesnt work for them, so canceled the order, thanks for the heads up

Hmm. It's supposed to work for every boot. PM me if you need help and I work with them to get it fixed.

Good deal, I'll take a look. My current pair of boots maybe has one more year left.

@Big Fin do you have one gaiter under your right pant leg and the other over your left pant leg in the sheep photo above? Was that some kind of comparative test to see which method of wearing gaiters was better or are my eyes seeing things?

Great time for me to use another chunk of my 50% of kenetrek gift cards bought when they were half off.

So gift card bought at 50% off used to buy boots marked 50% off means boots will be 100% off--plus free gaiters equals more than 100% off on a pair of boots. Umm wait the math hurts my head. LOL. But a screaming deal coming my way!

Man i always see things a day late haha, Bought the mountain guides they were too big i wore them on one hunt. Kenetrek refunded me the full amount in gift cards. So i went to reorder them and my size was backordered so i went with the extremes NI, no big deal both are great and i wont be doing sheep hunting in the near future. Then they had their black friday sale 20% off what i just ordered 2 days prior so i emailed them. they were awesome and gave me a giftcard for the 20%. So i decided to buy the 1000G and now i see free gaiters lol anyway not complaining about my bad luck. They are an amazing boot and even better at customer service!! just thought someone would get a laugh from my misfortune.

Looking into some pac’s for work. Grizzly or northern- anyone have any first hand experience with either? How does their sizing compare to their mountain extreme? I see the pac boots are only full sizes.

In the market for new boots, figure buy once cry once. My main issue is waterproof-ness (if that’s a word). I need a boot that I can trek through wet ground cover and pouring rain and still stay dry. Better yet if they can cross a stream and stay dry. Any suggestions on the best model for that?

The rockys I have are fine, tread and fit/comfort wise, but they aren’t waterproof despite saying they are. I don’t want to put down $400 on another pair just to have the same issue.
