Based on these results, it looks like I drew a Kansas deer tag again this year. Applied for a unit that has leftover tags, so if I didn't draw, I must have really screwed up my application.

I love applying for easy-to-draw units. Makes is easier to spend more time hunting.

Only way I won't make it to Kansas would be if Arizona gives me a desert bighorn tag and I had to spend the entire month of December hunting desert rams...yeah, right.

Good luck to those of you who drew. December is a good time to hunt whitetails. Hell, anytime is a good time to hunt anything.

Good luck! With the points I've amassed for there, I shouldn't have any trouble drawing. One of these years I need to pull the trigger.

Are you hunting WIAs again this time?

Yup. Gonna shoot that big one that was sleeping in the tall CRP while the blizzard created near-whiteout conditions. He should be even bigger this year. He escaped by the grace of God last year, so his fate may be less fortunate this year.

Sounds like the makings of an adventure. Is Troy afraid of tornadoes because there could be some really good footage?

If you call 620-672-0781 they will be able to tell you if you drew for sure. Looks like maybe my tag luck is changing. Western Kansas here I come. Now if anyone has ever hunted area 2 or 17 any help would be appreciated. The research has already begun.

fiveptbill I shot my deer in 17 last year (see avatar). lot of area to hunt. Saw a few whitetails that will be nice this year if they made it but just were not was I was looking for at the time. Dont be afraid to call land owners most dont hunt as they farm and access isnt too hard to get.
