quote:
Dallas-AP -- The star of an upcoming reality television show isn't a model, an actor or a beach-dwelling survivor -- it's an airline.

The show follows employees of Southwest Airlines as they deal with weather delays, blackouts and passengers.

The program called "Airline" begins Monday night on the A-and-E Network, which plans to air 18 half-hour episodes.

A-and-E approached all the largest U-S carriers with the idea for the show, modeled on a program of the same name that aired in the United Kingdom. The other carriers turned the cable network down.

A-and-E and Southwest say the airline didn't pay or receive money for taking part in the show and had no control over content. But Southwest will get a chance to explain its treatment of specific customer complaints.

Well DG, you'll only see me if they come to the PHX composite shop. I haven't worked the flightline in years. I really miss the line. Never a dull moment and always busy with something different!

The things I don't miss though is getting checked out by the "ball bearing" flight attendants while bending over fixing a seat!

I loved messing with the passengers. Dealing with people can be fun if you have the right attitude and nothing pisses off an already pissed off passenger like a friendly mechanic!

This show ought to be interesting. I wonder how truthful it will be. I'll have to check it out and update ya!

Thanks for the heads up!
