John Kerry's agenda posted here

Hey IT, You should come live here for about 6 months in the second most liberal state in the union... I think you may see things from a little different perspective! I know you lived out here at one time, but come on VT? That’s about like living in ID...

I live in a city that is 80% democrat, and a state that is about two thirds democrat! We elected our first republican governor in 30 some odd years...

Lets see... WE pay about 50% more in property tax living here than say MT, we have a "ranked" national murder rate (they kill more people a year here than die on the roads in MT,ID,WY put together), our city schools are over 100 million in the hole, the demo's thought it would be a great idea to collect property TAX NON-PROFIT organizations, because they were missing out on that "tax base". Oh did I mention that a study last year said that only about 50% of students actually graduate high school in the city, Literacy rate is around 75% Some of the most polluted waters in the US reside here! Did I mention that its illegal for me to carry a hand gun any place but in my house or to the gun range?

All of this was accomplished under democratic rule. You will have a pretty hard time convincing me that they are the group to go with!

I can keep going, but the more I look at it just depresses me. Neither republicans or democrats really can help us at this point.

Oh by the way I did look at your web site. How bout you tell me how Kerry's agenda for national security is any different that Bush's?

While he's at it lets raise the min. wage, and lower taxes again... cough, bullshit, cough! Remember what your mom Hillary said? We may have to raise taxes for "the good of the people" But Kerry's plan is calling for a tax break for 98% of the people... Where is that money going to come from???

Ithaca, I will do just couple of the many that are nothing but warm fuzzy campaign promises. Which are forgotten when the president plants his ass in his chair in the oval office for the first time.

Strengthen The Rural Economy
John Kerry and John Edwards will cut middle-class taxes, cut health care, education and energy costs, and restore fiscal discipline in Washington. The Kerry-Edwards economic policies will unleash the productive potential of America's economy to help create jobs in rural America and give our farmers the support they need to compete and thrive in today's economy. Improve And Expand Rural Health Care
John Kerry and John Edwards understand that Americans in rural areas face special challenges in finding high-quality, affordable health care, and he has fought to make Washington responsive to their needs. They will guarantee that Americans in rural areas have access to the same range of affordable, high-quality health care plans available to members of Congress
First off I am amazed you would support farmers and by extension ranchers given all the nasty and vile names you call them. Inside the beltway farmer and rancher are the same thing.

How will they improve the rural economy?

When it come to health care that statement about people in rural areas having access to the same care members of congress have is pure bullsh-t. You telling me people in Larslan, Montana will have access to the same cutting edge technology that members of congress enjoy. There are more people within a rifle shot of captitol then there are in the entire Eastern half of Montana. There are not enough people, insured or uninsured, to support the medical infrastructure required. That is pure hyperbole.

But if you believe those are great and achieveable goals great.

Free America From Its Dangerous Dependence On Mideast Oil
To secure our full independence and freedom, we must free America from its dangerous dependence on Mideast oil. By tapping American ingenuity, we can achieve that goal while growing our economy and protecting our environment.
Anyone see any contradictions in the agenda item. Historically when economic growth increases so does the demand for petroleum and petroleum products. Yet JFK is going to reduce dependence on foreign oil, grow the economy and protect the environment.

Ithaca, would you care to tell how all three of those things are going to be accomplished all at the same times. We are years away from alternative energy sources that will replace all petroleum based energy sources. If the economy does improve how do you keep people with more money from demanding more energy to enjoy their money? Then where will all this domestic supply come from?

I think one quote from his "Economy" section will sum up a lot of my trepidation regarding John Kerry:
And when John Kerry puts forward a new idea, he'll tell you how he's going to pay for it.
When's he plan to start?
