January trolling

Got out yesterday for some cold weather leadcore trolling for crappies. 19 Crappie, 1 trout, 1 channel catfish went home with us, fun trip with @idfishnhunt

Interesting! Nice batch of fish! I've never heard of anyone trolling leadcore for crappies. It's done often here for walleyes of course, but we don't have large crappie populations. Also interesting that you're in the boat today and I just drove my 3/4 ton diesel off the lake from an afternoon of bluegill fishn :) Keep after em!

Yeah I’ve been doing this for about 4-5 years. I used too use a bottom bouncer to get the little cranks down 30+ feet. Now it’s leadcore plus I get to use it for Walleyes on the Columbia River and I use leadcore for catching giant perch also at Lake Cascade. I like trolling!
