I've been putting off going public with this . . . .

AZ has amazing opportunity you can hunt something 10 months out of the year. Deer is OTC in August, December and January. Black bear is OTC in the spring and fall. Add javelina, dove, quail and you round it out. Also a sleeper waterfowl state. PM me and I can get you going in the right direction. Apply for Elk and and Antelope right now. You want the points and it gets you a year closer to the loyalty point.

The waterfowl in Wyoming is not great, so that sounds amazing.

Tnx

My wife is from Buckeye.
It is growing and changing quickly, but it’s not a terrible place.
The I 10 commute into Phoenix, if you have to take that, will not be your favorite part of the day

About the same population as our city & less than a hour to Phoenix...we are a couple of hours from DFW Metro (which we avoid). You stated it was family necessitated...reason enough.

I'm with Buzz, "Don't dread it, embrace what the State has to offer..."

Exactly my mindset. Just recognizing that I live in rural Wyoming now, and it's just Mrs. Fan and me. And the dog. Still, going after it with all I have.

Buzz, keep it down a bit, this is a public forum, man! haha

After spending 30 yrs of vacation time in AZ, finally got to move here. It's simply a great place for outdoor people.
AZ can be a fantastic place if you know where to look and stay out of the heat. The good news is that your not from CA because Arizonian's hate those folks for moving into their State :)

But it looks like we have to leave Wyoming and move to Buckeye, AZ.

Not excited about it at all, but it will be for family, so the decision is already made.

So, what's to hunt down there? I've done quail and dove in the SW part of the state before. What else?
Best with your move. Family always first.
