That’s just a 4-point with browtines and a few extras, duhDon’t shoot! The eyeguards (uhhh BROW TINES) will make him too hard to describe. Hold out for something simpler!

Where the #*^@#* did you learn math?Gotta love them 4-point bulls with browtines guys mistakenly call 6-points every year
Judging by your poll I'd say they have it right.I think there’s a whole thread regarding the intelligence of Montana’s game agency, I wouldn’t take anything they tell you as gospel
Westerners run out of fingers on their one hand and then its all just “x’s”, “extras” and “junk”. Us blue-blooded easterners with our Ivy League math, however, just keep on countin’.That’s just a 4-point with browtines and a few extras, duh
Surprising results for sure, I grew up around some of the biggest mule deer fanatics in the west and it sure wasn’t no 4-point if it had eye-guards, been a fun a thread thanks for participating everyoneJudging by your poll I'd say they have it right.
The ol freak himself
He was fluent in the art of compromise. To confuse you all, I had a boss for a while that didn't really have a grasp on the English language. He also was trying to keep up with the Jones in his big game hunting and building his trophy room. He got a muley buck one time that had "eyebrows". Think he his nomenclature had a little cross-breeding.
I always heard it was because a lot of mule deer didn't have eye guards/brow tines. So it was something extra.I’m curious about that too. Why wouldn’t you count them when describing a deer? The difference between a deer with or without eyeguards can be the difference between B&C and not B&C for a majority of typical mule deer. Maybe @Hopzone Freak knows?
Good point, we always called bucks missing a fork but that still had eye-guards a “3-point with eye-guards”, fun to argue about it@Ought Six
Are “management bucks” 3 pointers, or 4 pointers?
“Points are counted above the first fork and don’t include the eye guard, which isn’t considered a point.”
I gifted you the magic word...There’s got to be a way to turn this one into a real good internet fight.
I’d guess the majority of mule deer I’ve seen that were over 2 years old had eye guardsI always heard it was because a lot of mule deer didn't have eye guards/brow tines. So it was something extra.
