It took about 45 minutes of "Gut Check" and the knowledge that it was going to get dark in a couple of hours. Position yourself in the mud and PULL!!! You all know those types of ponds have about 18" of mud under there so that is why you can see I am wet to my chest. I also had to dump the guts in the pond to get him over the shoulder of it. I almost put my eye out with an antler too. Fun as hell though when he was out.

Funny thing too... when I left for the truck about 250 yards away I came across a nice 5x6 bedded.
