Yep. I’d never used them before I tried this recipe. The give a little bit of a sweet and earthy flavor.

The recipe calls for a two hour cook. I pre cooked the meat for a couple of hours.

My wife gave it two thumbs up, don’t change anything. I added some cracked pepper and sea salt, but I like heavier seasoning than her.
