Hold up…you just started stealing extra condiments from fast food and gas station hot dog warmers because of inflation? I’ve been doing that for years to make edible the crappy freeze dried meals when off grid.

I am elated when my wife has to ask me for a ketchup packet from my stash because we are out of ketchup at the house and she made fun of me for stuffing my hoodie pockets full of condiments when we went to Culvers.

If my wife saw how much I spent on a long handled titanium spork she’d probably fill her whole purse with plastic sporks from the gas station and add them to the stash.

So is shrinkflation...went to the store just yesterday, the grape jelly is now 3 oz smaller(17 oz instead of 20) and costs more. I'll bet all those items are smaller and costs more too

When I was backpacking in Zimbabwe in 2006, we changed money in the mornings for enough for that morning, then in the afternoons for that afternoon. The exchange rate would change so much, you'd lose money on the morning rate if you spent it in the afternoon.

You also had to be careful to spend the money before the expiration date.

We'll get there eventually.
