I'll be in Miami/The keys with the wife a few weeks at the end of the month. Any suggestions on stuff to do? Already lined up some duck hunting and the iguanas.

You going to be in Miami or the keys? 2 very different areas. Other than boat stuff I dont think there is much to in the keys. Other than drink. Sombrero reef is beautiful if you like snorkeling. And well fishing

I'll be in the Keys in March. First thing on the list is hiring a boat for a day of backcountry fishing.

Next is a day of eating in Miami.

And I actually want to watch a Florida Panthers game. The idea of going to a hockey game in south florida just cracks me up.

And the Mel Fisher Museum. That story has always fascinated me..

I'll be in both.

Never been to the Keys but if I ever go I will go to Big Pine Key and check out the Key Whitetial deer.

See if you can get one of those chicks in a bikini to take you bow fishing for gators.

Lots of things to do in Miami depending what you like. To me Miami is kind of like Vegas in that is fun for a few days but you start to stay there too long it can get boring unless you're in to certain types of things. You're going during the season, all the snowbirds and tourists are there so it will be busy. Palm Beach and Ft. Lauderdale just North of Miami, you can visit them if you're in to seeing different parts of the area. Here's what I would do.
1. Go to a Cuban cafe or restaurant.
2. Try ceviche, it's a Caribbean, Central/South American dish.
3. Go to the Everglades, you can drive or go do an air boat tour, obviously a tour will get you deeper in and see more.
4. Charter a boat for some fishing. South Florida, on the Gulf or Atlantic side has some of the best fishing in the world. You can do half days or full days, in shore or off shore. If you do this don't do one of them charters where it's you and a dozen or so other random people. You're better off going to Walmart, buying some poles, and fishing off a pier than doing one of those types charters. Charter a boat for just yourself and who you are with. It will cost more but worth it if you get a good Captain which you can typically see reviews on.
5. South Beach, it's busy and crowded but it's a good experience once or twice. Warning it is a topless beach so if you have children might not want to go on the beach itself, Haulover Beach has a section that is completely nude though if you're in to that type of thing. You probably wont see many locals at the beach though because many will consider it too cold(I know sounds crazy). But along Ocean Dr there are a lot of restaurants and places to just hang out and relax.
6. Take a day cruise to Bimini Bahamas, it's about 50 miles from Miami and probably a 3 or so hour boat ride depending on seas. BUT if you want white sandy beaches and clear blue water it's the place to be.
7. Aquariums, Zoo, Reptile parks(can also do some of these on an Everglades tour) etc that you have in most cities.
8. Not sure what kind of nightlife you're in to but they have a ton of it, it can be expensive however.
9. Snorkeling, scuba diving etc.

For the Keys it will depend on where in the keys. I'm going to guess Key West as it's the most popular part. There's not a ton to do in the keys but if you are in Key West taking the ferry over to Dry Tortugas National Park is a must. They have a ferry(or you can take a plane). There are no restaurants, bathrooms, or any kind of places to eat, shop, etc, it's empty in terms of that but the ferry stays there until it's time to leave and they will have stuff. You will get to see Fort Jefferson, which is neat and you can see where Samuel Mudd was in imprisoned who is the Dr. that treated Josh Wilkes Booth. Snorkeling there is amazing and not uncommon to see huge 3-4-500lb Goliath Grouper. The keys themselves don't have a lot of beaches. There is one on Key West but they aren't really known for their beaches it's more of a tourist area now. Fishing, drinking, eating will be the main things and great weather of course. Big Pine key as mentioned, deer don't get that big in FL a full grown buck might be the size of an antelope or a tad bigger maybe.

What I mentioned you can do in less than a week though, if you plan on staying for a very long time then I would do as much fishing as you can.
