Guess I was lucky trekking Philmont in 1956 when we had a Dutch oven "chef" who cooked fabulous meals for us on the trail.

In 2023 the "Dutch oven chef" is me when I let that MH fart rip in my sleeping bag!

Mountain House was the bee's knees 20 years ago. I switched to Peak Refuel several years ago before buying a freeze dryer last spring.

Haha chipotle would be rough but those burritos would pack nicely.

Pizza would be a great treat at the truck. Tough to pack a pizza box into the backcountry. I’d love to see it though!

I put leftover Dominos in the seal a meal. Then freezer. Turns it to thin crust. Tastes good AF while glassing. Lots of calories

Many of you are overthinking this. Mountain house is not the best because it’s the best, it’s the best because it’s Mountain House.
