I have been gone for the last week so I could become a bonifide teacher, now I just need to learn how to find enough bonifides to teach...
I was in Bozeman this last week, Monday I have to be down in Salmon Idaho to kill some trees, up to Missoula on Tuesday for a little birthday outing for the wife, and then Wed I have to run to Billings for crew boss refresher until Friday...
The following Monday, if every thing works out, I will be in Butte for a week of training, and then the following week, I have to run off to Missoula again for a saw conference...
Those that know the distances of the area, will understand the miles I get to drive for the next few weeks, and I still have to find time to go shed hunting this year and to create two more underground shelters for hunting camps for the fall before fire season starts...Oh I can't hardly wait until I can run the mountains again following the musky smell of fire.....

RR-
The underground shelters are built so that in the later rifle season when there is a lot of snow in the high country, I have a place to disapear to. That way I won't need to pack a tent or sleeping bags and a few other little necessities. They will be in five gallon pails. Because of the way I hide them, I also don't need to worry about any one walking away with any thing, the walks into the back country are very lite and comfortable. I still won't be putting to much stuff in the shelters, sleeping bag, a little food, lighter.

ELKCHSR. Thanks for filling me in. That is a very good way to plan out your hunt. I just wished that I lived in a spot that I had the access to do things like that, someday though. Heck a couple of those in different areas and you are set to go for the season! Good luck and once again thanks for the answer

Sounds like a lot of wheelt time. If you get bored on the road and need a little humor remomber the last thing that went through the bugs mind when he hit the windshield.......his arse.

ELCHRS.... Sounds like you are putting on some miles. Call me stupid but what are the underground shelters for? is it to store equipment packed in for the season or something else  Just curious. Drive safe.

I thought that maybe your partners from SI forum (ElkGunner, etc) had taken ya up on the challenge and you had plans for them.
That actually takes a little more than lip service and I am sorry that is all I am going to get...LMAO!!!!! ;) ;) ;) :D

Drive safe, and have fun Russ. And like my dad said sorry we missed you when you were up this way, maybe we can catch up with you next time you're this way.
Quick Draw

I will probably be out there again at the end of the year or early next year again... ;) I will try to hold you two to that...
