Last week, in the little town of Graham,,(just about a mile from my house) a punk thought it would be a good idea to steal a classic Camaro hump WRONG :MAD The owner caught him bet the living chit out of him :MAD and put him in the hospital...( Sucks to him) Well the punk died this morning...So far no charges are going to be filed on the owner...I think a metal is in order hump

Somehow I think the owner of the car won't get off the hook easily. Of course the owner did what he thought was necessary in the situation and I'm sure I would have done the same thing. Hopefully, the car owner won't be seeing the "metal" in the local jail.

Keep us posted on the situation. I'm curious to see which side of the fence the law resides.

It was a '67 SS Camaro, I believe. The owner's roommate had gone outside, saw the guy trying to steal the car, and both the owner and the roommate went after him.

A guy local here stold a Key chain from a store (1 block away) and the Employee's ran outside to catch him and caught him and the Kids head hit the Ground and Died.

if you stole a horse you would get hung till you died. The more that get killed the less thieves we will have in this world.

Personally I think all thieves should be shot( adult thieves cause they no better). A thief is also worse than a murderer cause they will lie about everything, where as most murderes will tell the truth.

Delw, I don't think stealing a horse is a hanging offense anymore. Maybe 150 years ago it was but not now. You're joking about that right?

However I would agree that all car thieves should be shot. Kill 'em and they won't be doing it again. What better detterent is there than death?

I think it still is law( maybe cattle rustling)in one or a few states. but I dont believe they practice it anymore, I was using it as a point of refernce.

Besides after reading the post it looks like the owner was protecting himself and the guy just hit his head during the fight.
Just think if he wouldnt have attemped to steal the car he would be still alive.

WHO Chick-In Texas it is perfectly legal to shoot a person that is stealing your car and you read about it happening regularly. Washington needs to adopt that law and you will see car thefts drop significantly---one at a time.

Well whs if u odnt do that then if they steal ur possesions,they kill ur family most will, then they get cut, on window or breal leg, they can sue u it perfectially legal, judge says it a job, thats sad, ok so they deserve to pay forthe crime......do the crime pay the time

Stealing a horse and cattle are still on the books as a hanging offence in some states.

I do not however think that a car, horse or cow are worth the price of a life. They could have just held him until the police arrived.

A suspected car thief was in critical condition at a local hospital Wednesday after a fight with the owner of a vintage car he was apparently trying to steal, Pierce County Sheriff’s deputies reported. The car’s owner, 24, was awakened by noises outside his home in the 10300 block of 192nd Street Court East near Graham early Wednesday.

He looked outside and saw a man, 27, trying to steal his white 1967 Camaro, sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said.

When the car owner confronted the man, the two started fighting, Troyer said.

The owner’s roommate heard the commotion and came outside to help. While the three wrestled on the ground, the man bit the owner’s fingers, and the roommate forced him to let go by choking him, Troyer said.

After that, the man collapsed. Paramedics responding to a neighbor’s calls revived him and took him to the hospital.

Deputies believe others might have been involved in the attempted theft.

A black car was seen leaving the area, and items typically used for stealing cars were seized from a Ford Taurus found about a block away.

Troyer said the suspected thief was released from jail last month for car theft and has a lengthy criminal record.

The two residents were not arrested, Troyer said.

The case will be forwarded to county prosecutors, who will determine whether to file charges.

There is a guy that lives just down the road from us that had his work car stolen Sat. night :MAD It was found down the road at the gas station, with the windshield busted out and the radio gone...

We have been lucky..In 8 years we have yet to have anything taken...I think I made a good inpresion on the folks out here.. They think I'm crazy and will shoot on sight hump ( I wander how they got that impression?? )
