If you had a free plane ticket...

I was in St. Louis yesterday, and I was plenty happy to get on the plane back here. I am sitting at my desk in Pasadena, basking in the sun from the windows and not missing 7 degrees at all.

Chalk another up for New Zealand. I would love to shoot one of those 450" stags from up there.

I had a ticket for anywhere in the US last year and didn`t even use it myself. Gave it to a lady at my church to go to her friends funeral in Maine because she was short on cash.

Dang nice of you...might have been a missed opportunity for you, but I'm a firm believer in what goes aroound comes around. The next thing coming around for you ought to be a dandy.

I would just land on some landlocked piece of public property that was crawling with huge elk.

New Zealand for me. That would be and awesome hunt in some awesome country.

Even if not for the hunting, I'd probably hit up N.Z. or Australia. If you're set on hunting wherever you go if you lay out your budget, I'd imagine there's enough experience and BS around here for guys to give you some pretty good ideas.

Yeah come on down, Tahr, Chamois and Red and Fallow deer hunting in the South Island, Sika, Red and Fallow deer and Pig hunting in the North island, Wallabys,Goats, Hares Rabbits in both, great trout fishing, good Duck, Pheasent,Turkey and Grouse shooting as well, the Elk are finally being managed and are in a ballot system but you have better back there anyway

Bird shooting and fishing have seasons and require a license, every thing else basically costs you boot leather, the deparrtment of conservation will even tell you where the numbers are highest, there are mountain huts spread all over the country which cost from nothing to 10$ a night (they have honesty boxes} or just take a tent and do if for free.

Cheers
Jeff

I would borrow the money, rob a bank, or kill off family for the insurance payout and then go to New Zealand.

I would fly to New Zealand to watch Rise Against in concert and then spend a couple weeks hunting........

Ah the irony of it all.....

Jeff I would use the ticket just to have a few beers with you.

Fred old mate it would be my pleasure, you had better bring along Doris to keep Janet occupied.

Only a few months to go and leaving Australia to return to N.Z. for good I think this will be my first buy
