If you drew MT Elk Super Tag, which HD would you hunt in?

What does HD mean? And can't you buy OTC back country tags?

Hunting District. Yeah, most of Montana is OTC, but there are a lot of the premier areas that are draw only.

If I was looking for a really big bull I think I would have to look at the Elkhorns (380). I know a gal who her and her husband drew that a couple of seasons ago ,and they saw some whoppers. She saw most of her elk on the edge of public. They were hunting on private and the bulls would come down to feed from public and work their way back to public in the morning again. She had a 400 class bull she passed up a 400yd shot at so she could get a better shot the next morning and the next morning he had broken one of his main beams off! She said she cried a lot. I think I would have too. They both ended up with 330+ class bulls in the end. I have seen a lot of nice bulls in the 621 and 622 (N. Breaks units) too. I think trophy wise 621 might be a little better than 622 these days.
