Moose aren't that tough.. I'd get some heavier Barnes X for the .243 let her practice all summer and let her whack a moose.. I'd be much happier with good shooting with a rifle she's used to marginal shooting with an unfamiliar rifle.. Either way good luck!

Congrats on the moose tag. My friend also drew Unit 50 bull tag.
I have a friend that reloads and he cuts the the bullet down and when season gets here he kicks them up and sights the gun in and when his kids shoot they dont know he turbo charged them. Different when shooting at game than targets. Just a thought.
