If you get a hand auger, look for a Nils. I can cut holes faster than most powered augers.If you aren't going out often, and depending on where you are going (thickness of ice), I would just get a hand auger. Make sure the blades are sharp
A 5” hand auger will work fine for those fish. I only use a hand auger and the ice is usually 18” around here.Thanks guys. Not a lot of options here in Missouri. Hoping to chase some crappie and blue Gill in some farm ponds if it freezes good enough
