I waited to post this a bit.....

Just before heading off to elk camp I passed a very large milestone in my life. As of last week I have officially retired (again) and now am done working full time. I tried to get this done prior to turning 50 but missed by a couple of weeks I have been blessed both through opportunity and that my plans have generally worked out when it comes to setting this up. I am NOT wealthy but I did a lot of planning and choose to live fairly simply. Through the last several years I have lost many colleagues and friends younger than myself and it became directly apparent that the adage "The one thing you cannot make more of is time" is shockingly true. So now I have more time to do what I want, when I want and with whom I want. I am truly thankful. BTW, I also now have time for shenanigans of various types so if anyone is in the AO of the Springs or just generally wants an ornery old vets around for comic relief hit the Ol Sarge up!!

My first retirement was from the Army........the position I just retired from was as a Federal Agent with the DCSA.

My recent trip to the UK was a bit of one but my one true "bucket list" hunt is moose. I can't explain why but I have been drawn to moose since I started hunting 17 yrs ago. It will probably have to wait until the youngest goes to college in about 3 years and I have had time to save for it. A close second to that would be New Zealand for tahr and stag. Hopefully I have enough time to make those happen

We have some of those moose critters up here. I would look at B.C. or Labrador /Newfoundland . However if Maine interests you I have a friend who guides there and maybe he can help you.
