How picky are you on public land when chasing whitetails

Needs to be a mature bucks to shoot opening weekend, I like hunting enough I am in no hurry to put one down. Hunt every day of rifle if I can and enjoy our later MZ season too.

Lots of hunters for the former, often find myself alone for MZ season.
