How long?

How long till everyone will be hunting elk this year? I have 28 days till I'll be chasing cow elk in Wyoming with my brother. We've been in the area in October and my brother's been in during Dec-Jan not sure what to expect this early. Should be a fun week of camping, hiking, and looking for elk with my big brother. If I don't have any luck in August I'll head back after Christmas to fight the weather and fill the freezer. What's everyone have planned so far?

I will be hunting Bull Elk on Sept 1st in NV with my smoke pool.

Heading out August 2nd to do some scouting and confirm research.

Still not sure when the peak of the rut typically happens in northern NV.

Been thinking about nothing but elk since I drew. Can't wait to hear bugles!

Not really, but it depends on the terrain. Grass near water makes me nervous. Most of the ones I do see are in spots were you'd expect to see them.

I did run into 4 in 2 days last summer. Not going back to that spot.
