How are you spending your time?

Thanks for the best wishes guys, I am confirmed but the family is OK so far. I wipe the door down with a clorox wipe leaving and entering and luckily we have all nonperishable food downstairs. Tap water, granola bars and wheat thins are getting old. I am freezing and sweating like my pillow and blanket are drenched within the hour but shivering and can't catch my breath. No energy to fire up the grill. Have not slept since noon yesterday it seems my body doesn't trust itself to breath automatically when I fall asleep. Exhausted but just won't fall asleep. Luckily working from home indefinitely so there is that. Like a bad flue but wouldn't want to catch it at an advanced age.

Hope you come through ok. Take care of yourself.

Masticating fist thing after I wake up. Then do some work for a few how’s and masticate again. Back to work until 5pm and then masticate again. Watch TV or stream something. Go to bed. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Not really much new here the daily routine is so far still about the same. Still able to work at the office, working-out, momma is at home with the kids.

Sounds like we will be picking up a couple weeks worth of school work from my daughters school today in which she will begin. Which is good and a positive deal IMO. Wife works in the OR at the hospital and she was laid-off for the time being as they are not doing any unnecessary surgeries. So well see how things are really going after a couple weeks have gone by with her and the kids at home hahaha.

Still eating cold lunch.......

I hopeful for some sort of miracle at this point and things turn in a positive direction. Lotta negative activity out there, and its very apparent. I send prayers to everyone out there this is obviously affecting everyone in this world one way or another. In my mind I feel this traumatic and chatastrophic event could be a wake up call humanity needs to get their shit together, a silver lining if you will in a weird form.

Everyone take care of themselves, I have been enjoying all the threads on here providing great information and some fantastic humor on the subject to try and keep things a little light. Good luck to everyone in the upcoming draws out there and hopefully in a few short weeks we are ahead of this trying time.

Well with school out due to coronavirus most of my time is spent reading through forums and planning for all my applications and upcoming hunts

Well the countries have locked us down. So I’m stuck overseas with my wife and kids at home. Schools cancelled, likely all year. Thankfully we have a full playground in our backyard for the kids, my wife’s a teacher and she’s set. Plenty of meat in the freezer.

The whole family is doing youth group meeting online. This is a total first. Our church partnered with another church youth group so its pretty cool and interactive with the comments.

1. Removing old carpet and prepping concrete floors for paint.

2. Ripping out old water softener installing new whole house sediment filter.

3. Applied for deer and elk in NM. Figure this year odds might be a bit better. Maybe not smart but WTH. First time applying for multiple states/species...I kind of like the feel of rolling the dice. Learning something from those of you that have been at this Western hunting game a while....

So, like, a teacher?
My teacher wife typically has 10 minutes to eat lunch.
I have been thinking recently how thankful I am for truckers. This country has food etc it just needs to be delivered.
However I drive 70-80 miles a day...why do a large percentage of truckers drive like f-ing moronic dickheads? Just asking!

Today finally my employer decided to send everyone who can perform their job remotely, home to work indefinitely. Me being in upper management I'll spilt time at the office as needed and try to get my fair share of work from home. On the production side of things we're shutting down all North American production 6 days starting next week.
This should reduce some hours at the office for me, giving me some time to work on my new house build I started in Nov. Closed cell spray foam insulation went in Monday, its really close to some wall finishings to go up. Me doing most all of the work any and all of my free time is focused on the house.

I've been ripping up a large chunk of my front and backyard to put pollinator/native plants in; I want my kids to be able to explore nature and see some biodiversity in our yard while essentially eliminating my landscape watering bill and reducing the amount I have to mow. I heard someone say last week that conservation is no longer enough anymore; we need to start creating new places for wildlife and I think a great place to do that is in our cities through these kind of improvements.

Prayers and my thoughts to those suffering with this sickness!! It is tough on our love ones!! If we wake up healthy and have a warm home we should be thankful.
Our life so far hasn’t changed, my wife homeschools our kids, and we have both been working half days (7-7) trying to finish a house to sell before I start my other job in eastern Montana in a few weeks. My down time is taking the hounds for a run and drinking a few beers in the long evenings or coffee early morning. Time with my wife and kids is always good

Wife and I jobs both are both just shut down. So now we are just double training and hiking everyday for our June Idaho hunt.

I'm retired but : Working in the maple sugar woods for a nephew. Working on food plots and horse trails. For the past couple months I was covering a job delivering car parts for a friend who took his wife to Florida for an extended vacation. It is so slow at the store, I think yesterday was probably my last day there. Looks like he'll be unemployed when he gets back.

Is eating your lunch cold really your idea of "difficult times"?
Try frozen C-Rats in three feet of snow. :)

Off-topic but a couple of good choices might be American Plum (bush type) and Goose Berries. I have half a dozen different types of Goose Berries different colors and flavors. Bees love them both. Easy to propagate Goose Berries just bury a branch end, Wild Plumes throw up new starts from the roots. Thorny bushes, while not kid-friendly, keep the Cats out of the Bird nests.
