Hotter than a furnace fan

Still don't have the story on the forky.
I finally wandered to a glassing knob this afternoon. Hacked my lungs out the whole way! But I saw 8 coues. 3 buck. 8pt, real wide 7pt, and a 3rd one hounding a doe that I never got a great look at. The 7 point was bedded 150 yards below my glassing rock and I spooked him right before I sat down or I might have had a play on him. Instead he wandered off 4 or 500 yards and I lost sight of him until 515pm and it was to late to move in at that point.
The other guys worked a group that had a big ol 2 point and a good 4x4 in the group all day. Last I knew one of the guys was moving in on them around 415pm.

2 point

In other news of the area. There was a murder and kidnapping in this tiny town. Some 37 year old dude. Killed some elderly gentlemen then kidnapped his wife. Stopped at the dollar general where the elderly woman escaped. Then the police caught the guy the following morning I think it was. Local news affiliate was interviewing people at the dollar general when we stopped for some potatoes. Population of 730 people in this town.

I'm surrounded by farmland. In the past few years we've had 2 murders within 3 miles of my house. One of the murderers lived in a house half a mile from here that I used to live in years ago that was part of a relative's farm.

Only coues spotted this morning in a new spot. 3 of us came back to cook the chicken and the others went to try their luck by the orchards were allowed to hunt. So that has been chaos from the texts I've been getting. Monster bucks in the orchards, but about impossible to hunt.

Decent coues this morning. He never stopped.
