Horse news

I am pretty open to other peoples opinions, but I have two very different topics that I don’t think there’s more than one valid viewpoint

One.
Feral horses and burros should be eradicated with a sense of urgency. Aerial gunning should begin at sunrise.

Two.
If you believe changing the clock makes the days longer, you are beyond helping

Anyone that can’t get behind those opinions needs help

So... ya think we can get the incoming administration to repeal the Wild Free-Roaming Horses and Burros Act of 1971?

Horse is delicious. If you could harvest , and eat them it would take some hunting pressure off the glamour species.

Also, there's enough running around in the WY red desert alone to feed all the Ukraine troops.

There's lots of practical solutions to this scourge.

the interesting thing with the wild horses I would say over 80% (maybe even 90% but being conservative) of people who have adopted mustangs agree with them needing to be managed in some form or fashion. Obviously most of the people won't come out and publicly say that if they need to be hunted to reduce the population then so be it, but most mustang owners are not opposed to round-ups and say the helicopter is the safest and most efficient way to do it.

The non-mustang horse owners are probably bigger push back because they haven't taken the time to educate themselves so they are going to see it as a black & white issue, often when discussed they see the need for management.

The non-mustang, non-horse owners I'm going to guess are the biggest people that push back against any form of management and say "just let them be"

as with many things in life and especially the outdoor space, we need a few cool heads to come together from each group and come up with some serious options for the management then move forward with the blm instead of 10 smaller groups bombarding the blm with ideas, 2-3 groups going at it with good ideas could make some change
