Anyone here familiar with Hogue pocket knives? I'm searching for a new folder to use for a stocking stuffer and ran across them online. I wasn't aware that Hogue made anything other than grips and stocks. I'd love some feedback if you've personally owned one or a suggestion on a different brand that you'd recommend. I know Kershaw, ZT, and Buck are pretty decent.. what other folders are you guys using for everyday usage??

Has to be USA made and nothing from Benchmade.

Why? The one I had was great and lost it. Not arguing just genuinely curious.
I have a few Benchmade fixed blade hunting knives and Presidio 5000 auto. The quality is excellent in every aspect, I used to be an exclusively benchmade user and gifted their products often. I chose to stop supporting them when they got caught up in the confiscated gun destruction at their facility and then the political donations list was made public and that was enough for me. Google it if you're interested, I'm not going to make it an issue on this forum.

I know I'm resurrecting an old topic but wondering if you ended up getting any hogue knives and how you or anyone else like them. I recently came across them myself and I'm genuinely interested.

They’re good knives but the “butterfly tax” is ridiculous.

I’ve never had a Hogue but people seem to like them.

Spyderco has some knives made in the US, some in Japan as well. But the only one I have that fits OP’s criteria is a Para 3. Pretty sick knife tho tbh. I really like it.

Edit: I did not realize I was replying to a 3 year old thread.

I returned them. Too much play between the blade and the handle. I don't remember the model, but I definitely returned them
