Help me spend my bonus

Well, since you’re going to keep it, go with rifle option # 2. It’s a buyers market for fine firearms right now.

I’m surprised with all the topper recommendations that nobody has thrown out the gofast yet?

I don’t care anything about the tent option but the topper itself looks like a pretty cool setup

Seekins and its not close. Maybe Browning next but dont love a heavy 26" barrel with the light everything else. Then Christensen. Then Bergara.

It seems to me the OP is just lonely and bored as we have all given enough ideas....I gave like 10 alone...just get a topper already...and not the softtopper crap...they look horrible.

Don't do the Seekins a bergara or a christensen would be fine. Also I've been using a muzzleloader for 2 decades loss rate is no greater then rifle.

In general I think Carbon barrels are stupid. If having a barrel stress relieved is critical to performance - machining it down to a thin core and than gluing a bunch of carbon around the thin core can only induce stresses. The carbon doesn't expand and contract at same rate as steel when it heats/cools. The only rigidity tests i've read about indicated that the carbon barrels were deflecting just as much as a steel sporter barrel of similar weight. Enough very high end gunsmiths have opined that they have better odds of performance with steel that its not a mistake. Basically they are like a big carbon spoiler on a FWD honda civic to me. The only difference is most people understand that a FWD economy car doesn't benefit from a bunch of down force on the rear wheels where as people are hoodwinked into thinking carbon barrels are better.

Seekins has the best stock of all the options for shooting. Highest odds of being a shooter IMO. Has a 3.1" carbon magazine that allows handloading heavies at ideal cartridge length. Best customer service.

Christensen seems to be very hit or miss on quality. Lots of tight chambers causing pressure and sticky extraction issues especially with PRC cartridges. Stock ergos are garbage for shooting. Enough reports of barrels walking/stringing.

Bergara Quality as of late seems to have a lot of issues and I'd trust their carbon barrels even less than Christensen. I watched a video of their carbon barrel tech and their special thing is steel mesh, around the steel barrel, helping them disperse heat better. They added steel, around the steel, to disperse heat before insulating it with carbon.

I like browning a fair bit, have an xbolt thats been good to me. Their sporter stock is one of the better traditional designs that is still solid for shooting IMO. I just dont like a heavy 26" barrel on a light weight everything else with that LR model. A regular mountain pro would be better.

Hey I was just trying to help spend someone else’s money 🤷🏻‍♂️
Ha...absolutely!😆
Buddy of mine bought one of those a few years back. We went out to the big lake for some Spring fishing. It's " a little" exposed out there to the wind.
He was all excited to climb up for the night. Middle of the night, there was a ruckus as he dropped her down....breeze picked up a wee bit.🤣
You forgot to mention you have to pair the GoFast with a Toyota, plaid shirt, and oversized mustache....and a look of bad-ass importance.

I'm struggling to read between the lines - was it not useable in higher winds?

I'm guessing my friend might have been 8k gun shy. Looked risky to me.
Other concern was water infiltration. I would imagine it best to make sure the fabric is totally dry before storing it for great lengths of time.
