I had a case in my cart for a while... I just can't find time to shoot that much.

Prefits are great, but you'll pay a premium for CF and really there's no ROI for it. Can be just as light with either a sporter barrel or fluting.

They work. I personally wouldn't get one from there though. Wouldn't spend money on a barrel if a case of ammo for less than the cost of reloading components cant be justified.

Is it less of a bonehead move to forget your gun, or take the gun not remembering you took the bolt out awhile back( for some dumb reason)?
Or how about driving 1.5 hours, hiking a thousand feet in vert by daybreak, dump the Powder down the barrel and reach for the projectiles which aren't there.
I dare you to beat that.

Nah...too much grey. Actually all grey.
I try to offset all of that^ with the plaid bro shirt. Young at heart with everything else aging.

The plaid shirt & chinos look has been Montana business attire since Columbia made the first plaid shirt in the modern era.

Before that, it was lumberjacks & their camp mates who wore it wooly, wild & western.

Harrumph.

So long as the smith makes sure it's true & correct, sure.

I like the refurb idea. New life in an old gun. But if your bbl is still good, don't change what works to chase ounces or unknowns.

OMR:

Proof, Bartlein, Benchmark carbon barrel blanks typically run over $700. Chamber and muzzle threads on a pre-fit typically run $375-500 from a reputable smith. It leaves the question, where is OMR saving $ to charge the prices they do?
