Heater for enclosed trailer

I use one of these for my ice shack. Unbelievable how well they work. I've become really sensitive to propane fumes in the last few years, and this has been a game changer.
I toyed around with getting one for our CO hunt in oct but firewood is plentiful there and I already have a nuwave propane stove to go with the wood stove. If I put up a roof top tent or go with something other then a wall tent I might go that route.

I put an Empire one in mine. It brings fresh air in and exhaust out. For you guys that had your trailers foamed, how did you insulate the floor?

how did you insulate the floor?

I went to my local carpet shop and ask them about padding and industrial carpet. They had a Underlayment that is waterproof and medical grade that was left over from a hospital. I bought that and some industrial carpet remnant and it works really nice. I stapled it all down around the edges and I use mine to move mowers quads pretty much whatever and after a quick vacuum it is good to go. 1C8AA44B-F992-4A66-9678-1BCD0E4D0BAF.jpeg

Just got mine back from paint, the weekend will be spent installing carpet and building a bed frame.

We actually put a little wood stove in. We put a couple rigid couplings with a nipple through the roof, then just have a plug for it when traveling or not using. Works pretty well and it doesn't take much to keep it warm.

To insulate the floor I added a second layer of wood and then topped it with carpet. Also, the interior is wired for a generator so I can run a ceramic space heater when necessary. The insulation I used is a reflective insulation so it should stay nice inside.

Hi Everyone!

I am in Colorado where there is a Stage 2 fire ban. So this means we won't be able to take our stove that we normally use.

We have invested in Dewalt propane heater that has a CO2 shut off and ALL of the safety features to make sure we are warm and we keep our public lands safe. But I have some questions on battery life.

Is there anyone who can tell me if they have used it? And which size battery you use?

Thank you in advance!!

Dickinson propane heater...had one in a boat and it's very cozy. Direct vented, one penetration through the wall or ceiling, single stovepipe has two sections...center is flue and annulus draws in combustion air.

The idea of heating a motorhome with diesel fuel is becoming increasingly popular. the various systems used for this purpose have a wide range of possibilities and are increasingly competing with gas systems. in this regard, it is useful to consider all the pros and cons of heating with diesel fuel.diesel engines with direct injection, due to their efficiency, sometimes emit insufficient heat to fully heat the interior. therefore, automakers are increasingly installing additional heaters on their cars that run on diesel fuel. i recently bought myself a good heater, but before that i spent a lot of time looking for the best one. Reviews and characteristics on Dehumidifier Critic helped me with the choice.

google up chinese diesel heaters. Big with the overlanding crowd and truckers.
I used one of these Chinese heaters in my enclosed trailer for hunting this year. This is a dry heat compared to propane, so moisture wasn’t an issue. They are also a direct vent- still install a co detector though for peace of mind.
