GSP Puppies

My little girl Ash had her puppies over the weekend! A first for me and what an experience it was! We went 5 for 6 on pups as unfortunately the very last one was stillborn. 3 females and 2 males, 3 solid liver and 2 white/patched. Thankfully she's a naturally good momma dog and is taking great care of them. Those birds better watch out!

When I was a kid we had a brittney spaniel that had a little of pups. Those puppies were great fun!

Its crazy how fast they grow. The runt thats in the top right of the dog pile has gained 25%+ of her birth weight in 36 hours

Pup-date:

Tail docking and dewclaw removal was today. It went well! One interesting note was that one of the males had either suffered a tail injury in utero / during birth, or it just grew a little wonky that required it be docked slightly shorter. I like a longer tail on my dog's as opposed to the ultra-short "nub" look but it'll likely be in his best interest in the long run.
