I'm guessing by the pic with the tracking dog, the final shot wasn't great either.
The frozen ears and rigor mortis lead me to believe he wasn’t found right after the shot either.

But hey he finally managed to kill an animal he’s been feeding and having 24/7 surveillance on after 3 years.

Missed twice wounded twice and then found with the dog. That deer got it rough. Shit happens sometimes but maybe let's not tell the world about the "saga".

Is it just me or does it look like the guy and deer were photoshopped into the background?
Could be I know they have snow down there right now. That guy is the owner of that tracking dog. He tracked a buck for our neighbors grandson. 5 year old kid. Won't even remember killing what could be the biggest one he kills for a long time or ever, not to mention his first.

Last shot must be the one that’s high and rearward. It can be seen 8n the first picture in line with the guys right arm.

Where’d the third antler come from, and why’d they stick one of the tines where it had been shot?

I asked my wife who is a professional photoshopper/photo editor. She doesn’t think so but that’s just how they have edited the highlights and made the guy and deer look so much brighter than the background.
