Just came across this one. Tater. His last hunt due to seizures about five years ago. Have not had another hunting dog since.

Good day today...only a few flushes but went two for three shooting. Liking the new 20ga. I am, however, terrible at taking pics! Especially field photos...need more practice.

Saw plenty of Roosters on private while driving to this Pheasant Forever property. Only kicked up 4 hens in 5 miles. Her first porcupine encounter, hopefully her first & last.

That’s a cool property. My experience was similar to yours. Saw a nice WT buck there.

This has to be one of my favorite threads on this site. We went out to some public land that I had never been to on Thanksgiving morning. Screwed up and walked the property wrong, which I figured out when about 50 pheasants flushed 60 yards ahead of us, along with a covey of quail. Oh well, live and learn I suppose. After that royal screw up, I was obligated to share some of my Thanksgiving meal with the pup.

From a few years back when I was home for xmas... teacher and student. She was there for Nate's first intro to birds/game farm experience, and that was the only time they were afield together.

Our dogs get really mad at porcupines after the first encounter. Kind of hard to keep them off of them.

2 hour midday hunt. Did all the retrieving and finishes every hunt with a bath

as of today, Im officially in rotator cuff rehab for 3+ months. got cut and renailed this morning.
