Sorry, not a hunter, but she just ran her first half marathon and I wanted to show her off. Half of a pair of twins, she's studying art in Savannah, and we're really proud of her.

Outstanding. Training in that southern humidity is a killer. In fact doing the training while in school says a lot about her good time management. You are right to be proud. Well done Miss Tarheel!

My daughter ran on this spring but I don't think she will be running one again anytime soon. Nice to see the smile on her face after the run.

She's pretty fit, and we thrive on the humidity which is usually only at it's worst in the summer, relatively speaking:D My daughter used to run lots of 10K's and 5K's, then went to Washington when she was 38 and ran the Marine Corps Marathon; completed it too, her first and only attempt. Not in anywhere near record pace, but at 4'10" I thought she did well to finish.

My wife began 1/2 marathons a few years ago and loves it! The dedication and appreciation gained running in these events is fantastic!

Grats to your granddaughter!
