Good Mallard Day

Love hunting flooded timber. Nice work.

Have only done it one time. A pond after that big winter of 16/17'. The water level was so high that it was well up into the trees on the bank, 10' higher
than normal. Such a trip to have mallards come floating straight down into the decoys and even better for those of us that enjoy a good warning shot, due
to the slower escape!

We whack them and stack them on the east coast without a thought to the hens getting a pass. It’s funny how different areas have different rules on acceptability.

Congrats on a great hunt!

Looks like a great hunt! I'm hoping to get on some here this weekend. Hoping the cold front that just came through pushes them down.
