..mighty tasty right there duds
It bugs me when someone I believe is a douchebag can be that talented and a wonderful guy like me will always be a hack.

One of my favorite music profs has a sign on his office door that says, " 'Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard.' If you haven't practiced yet, don't knock."

oops! Not you @elkduds ! The guy with the guitar.

@noharleyyet

Speaking of d'bags.

This is almost enough to make me tap my foot.

LYRICS:
Where the road is dark and the seed is sowed
Where the gun is cocked and the bullet's cold
Where the miles are marked in the blood and gold
I'll meet you further on up the road

Got on my dead man's suit and my smilin' skull ring
My lucky graveyard boots and song to sing
I got a song to sing, keep me out of the cold
And I'll meet you further on up the road.

Further on up the road
Further on up the road
Where the way dark and the night is cold
One sunny mornin' we'll rise I know
And I'll meet you further on up the road.

Now I been out in the desert, just doin' my time
Searchin' through the dust, lookin' for a sign
If there's a light up ahead well brother I don't know
But I got this fever burnin' in my soul
So let's take the good times as they go
And I'll meet you further on up the road

Further on up the road
Further on up the road
Further on up the road
Further on up the road

One sunny mornin' we'll rise I know
And I'll meet you further on up the road
One sunny mornin' we'll rise I know
And I'll meet you further on up the road.

He's an American Treasure. Born to Run in particular captures the rusting heart of middle America, and makes it applicable to all of us.

He's a great poet.

In the day we sweat it out on the streets of a runaway American dream
At night we ride through mansions of glory in suicide machines
Sprung from cages on Highway 9, chrome-wheeled, fuel-injected, and stepping out over the line
Whoah baby, this town rips the bones from your back, it's a death trap
It's a suicide rap, we gotta get out while we're young
'Cause tramps like us, baby we were born to run
Yes girl, we were

Wendy, let me in, I wanna be your friend, I wanna guard your dreams and visions
Just wrap your legs 'round these velvet rims and strap your hands across my engines
Together we could break this trap, we'll run till we drop, baby we'll never go back
Whoah, will you walk with me out on the wire
'Cause baby I'm just a scared and lonely rider but I gotta know how it feels
I wanna know if love is wild, baby, I wanna know if love is real
Oh can you show me

Huh! Now!

Beyond the Palace hemi-powered drones scream down the boulevard
The girls comb their hair in rearview mirrors and the boys try to look so hard
The amusement park rises bold and stark, kids are huddled on the beach in a mist
I wanna die with you, Wendy, on the street tonight in an everlasting kiss
Huh!

One, two, three, four!
The highway's jammed with broken heroes on a last chance power drive
Everybody's out on the run tonight but there's no place left to hide
Together, Wendy, we can live with the sadness, I'll love you with all the madness in my soul
Woah, someday girl, I don't know when
We're gonna get to that place where we really want to go and we'll walk in the sun
But till then tramps like us, baby we were born to run
Ah honey, tramps like us, baby we were born to run
Come on Wendy, tramps like us, baby we were born to run
Woah woah woah-woah
Hmm hmm hmm-hmm
Oh-oh oh woah woah woah-woah
Woah oh oh oh woah
Hmm hmm hmm-hmm
Woah woah woah-woah
Woah woah woah-woah
Woah oh oh oh woah

Screen door slams, Mary's dress sways
Like a vision, she dances across the porch as the radio plays
Roy Orbison singin' for the lonely
Hey, that's me and I want you only
Don't turn me home again
I just can't face myself alone again.

two of these fellows are gone now and the other two can no longer sing. Willie has lost his voice and Kris his memory. But all four of them were a force to deal with back in the day.

Thank you

@elkduds

This says more about me than him. The man has more talent in his little finger than my whole body. And he has a $100k/semester education at the Berkeley School of Music.
I have an Associates' Degree from the Berkeley School of bait fishing.
