I pick up my No. 1 International a while back for about 1/2 what they were selling for on line. Perfect condition, 270. Loaded up some 150 gr Partitions, chronoed at 2800, nice for a short barrel. Accuracy very good with 1.5 MOA being consistent. Best handling rifle I've ever owned. Took several deer with it this last year, no spectacular shooting, just very comfortable and easy. I'm looking forward to spring bear, I'll have to see if the rifle is lucky as well as pretty.

They are sweet to carry. Think my 275 Rigby is the best balanced scope rifle I've carried.

Not my gun, not my kinda gun, but closish...

I don't know the seller, but he is on another hunting forum and the auction house is top drawer in my experience.

Nice rifle and caliber...

I like them, have a 25/06 heavy barrel, a 270 Winchester and a 458 win mag, Ruger no 1’s are one of the types I like.

I couldn't find a stainless laminate 6.5 laminate so I called Ruger. They never made one! I sent my original #1 22-250 to Wayne York and he is boring and rechambering it to 6.5 CM. I figured while he's got it in hand I might as well have the barrel fluted. I'm hoping to get it back in the next couple weeks. He told me before I sent it that it was going to be at least 3 months. I'm like a little kid waiting for my birthday.

I like Wayne, he's very busy, if he gets you out in three months that's good.

I don’t know if he mentioned it to you, he and his son are both #1 fans. Always seem to be a couple of those hanging around his shop. I don’t know how many titles he holds but he was always standing on the podium when he was competing in IPSC and other events when he was an Oregon State Trooper. I was never on the line when he was but I was at some of the same events when I was a rookie. I never got close to his level however. One of just a few pistolaros I was greatly impressed by.

My conversations with Wayne have been short and on point. I took recommendations from both you and p-ham and am very confident that when I get my rifle back that it will be better than expected. He has been straight up about the timeline in every conversation. I check in around the first of each month. My last call was around 8/1 and he stayed on potential schedule that he would probably be starting work on it sometime around now. So for however long it takes to get everything done is fine with me although I would like to hunt it this year for A zone which ends 9/22. If not then I'll still have a very nice rifle for piggies and deer hunting in the future.
