Found my target buck today

This afternoon I found the sheds from the buck i spent most of archery season chasing. I sent an arrow over his back the 3rd day of the season.
I call him Splits, as both his G2s were forked. I last got a picture of him November 8th, and then nothing. I didn't think anyone got him, because everyone would have known about it. I Was hopeful that he would show back up, but I got nothing. Today I got confirmation that he at least made it through to shed his horns.

I had more specific questions but I’ll leave off the public forum. But, is that in a primarily ag or forested part of the state? Gotta be ag country, right? I used to hunt the latter (in one of the APR WMU’s) and anything even half that caliber was indeed rare. Hope you see more of him this year.

I'm in western NY, and we are predominantly ag. Hay fields with corn and beans mostly. Some orchards around as well.
 
Not many deer of that caliber around here either. My dad shot a 160" buck in 2017, and that was a once in a lifetime whitetail.
