That is all.

(If only you would have had a few more minutes against SHSU we would have been playing you...)

Did you make it down there for the game?

*sigh*- No.

My wife had to work Fri-Sat-Sun and couldn't get the entire span off (she works a flex schedule where she is filling in for others on vacation). I'm not sure I could handle a 4 year old and a 2 year old on my own on that trip. The wife's entire family was there and we saw them on tv several times.

pointingdogs- This defense was fantastic. It will be a sad day when we lose either Coach Bohl or DC Scottie Hazelton... which is generally inevitable when you have continued success at this level. I believe we only gave up 27 points the entire playoffs (4 games) and only a single touchdown our last three games. We return a majority of our defense and I definitely think a few of these guys will be playing on Sunday.

A few playing on Sunday's? Like who?

I seriously doubt that level of talent exists in that pitiful division. The team from Texas that put the montana teams out is made up of recruits who were passed over by 100+ teams that recruit in Texas. You are not going to find NFL talent in a division that competes at the same level as many high school teams in this region. More like reject and leftovers from Texas compete at the same level as the top teams in Montana and the Dakotas.

Congrats to the Bison, I think it is funny that somebody says who cares about the FCS, at least the Bison really won a national championship where they took the top 20 teams and had a playoff.

There are many FCS players in the NFL. Just the Montana Griz has Carpenter, Procter, Wilson, Hillard, Mariani (pro bowler), Biermann, Schillinger, Harris, and Anderson playing now. They come in and outwork the arrogant prima donnas from the big schools Wyoming is talking about and find a spot on the rosters.

The Montana Grizzlies will have one more this year with Truimane Johnson who is a projected 2-3 round corner back, he is rated number 7 out of 254 CBs. So are the 6 better corner backs all must be going to Texas schools? LOL really Wyoming you must not follow football.

I think the Baltimore Ravens will be in the super bowl this year with a FCS quarterback Joe Flacco University of Delaware

Congrats Smalls and your Bison, they were the best, proven on the field.

This is just from the 2011 draft...

Really, that is the dumbest thing I've read today. Lot's of not only good, but GREAT, players have come from 1-AA/FCS. Jerry Rice... not to bad.

Just from NDSU on current NFL squads:
Joe Mays- Starting linebacker for pretty damn good Broncos defense
Craig Dahl- SS for the Rams (won a ring with the Giants a few years back)

Oh, and we would beat Wyoming this year by 2 scores. We played and lost to WY a few years back in a game that we led at half. That was a very mediocre team we had that year. We've beat the University of Minnesota 2 out of the last 3 meetings (including this year), last year Kansas (you know the Jayhawks from the Big 12?) and Central Michigan just to name a few recent ones. We'll likely be favored going into Colorado State on Sept 8 next year.

Wyoming and BBD.... would love to know who you cheer for? LSU and Alabama? Cuz there the only ones really playing for anything of any worth in FBS this year...

I'm sure there are a few. Like Randy11 showed us 21 players drafted in the league. 2 players in the NFL for Dakota state and your telling me there are 3 NFL players on their defense right now? Names?

Top prospect is Marcus Williams (unamimous all american as a sophomore). Kid is a stud. Colton Heagle (also a sophomore) has an outside chance depending on the rest of his career.

Both Matt Veldman (6'8" TE) and DJ McNorton (RB) graduate this year and have shown up on some prominent draft boards. It's a toss up whether they'll get a shot.

And sorry to say, after reallignment I'm not sure the MWC is still going to qualify as a "real conference".

Bragging a about occasionally beating some of the worst teams really doesn't mean much. Minnesota, western Michigan, really impressive! Must be loaded with NFL talent to do that.

I graduated from osu. My teams game was pretty worthless, payout was only 22 mil. What did the bison win? T-shirts and the same championship rings that most 3a Texas high schools use.

My team actually has 3 NFL prospects, jus the same as your bison right? Justin Blackmon, Brandon weeden, and Markelle Martin. What were your 3 names?

Just shinin' ya smalls, it would probably take a 5A team to beat Sam Houston.:)

...congrats to NoDak State.

Congrats, T. Boone recruited a great team. I don't claim that the top FCS schools could compete with the big time BCS programs, but the margin between the great FCS schools and the non-elite FBS programs is smaller than rubes like you think. I'm just happy that my alma mater could not have accomplished any more than it did this year. Maybe next time I'll start a thread about vinegar based personal hygiene products and that will be of more interest (and help) to you.

Oh, and too bad Oklahoma State shit the bed against Iowa State (???) or they could have been playing for more than a bag of cash and third place
