I did not intend for that to be a slur on McCarthy and I’m sorry if you took it that way. With the packers and with the cowboys McCarthy did not do a bad job, but he did not live up to the standards of those franchises. With the current organizational structure of the Chicago Bears whoever the next head coach is most likely will not succeed And being this his third (potentially) head coaching job that he doesn’t “succeed” at I have a hard time seeing anyone giving him another head coaching gig.I don't get the McCarthy slurring & think you have to subtract his years indentured to Jones.
At both the packers and the cowboys the upper management entered into lucrative contracts with aging quarterbacks and those contracts limited the ability to put players on the field to support those quarterbacks. I don’t think the blame can solely be placed on McCarthy, but he takes the fall.
