Football General Talk

Game, set, match In the moment as a rookie. Looked as though Jones was going to eat his fingers while having a stroke.

Had the rookie not touched the ball... if Parsons doesn't kill him in the locker room, that epic experience will surely shape his future.

Packers are on track for a playoff birth having only lost to the three teams above them in the standings - i.e. no bad losses.

This is no shocker but once again da Bears still suck and their hopes and dreams for a QB to magically turn things around in a single season have failed.

The Cowboys are self destructing. That franchise is in turmoil with a great coach (former Packer coach at that) on his way out the door and a highly overpaid and injured QB on the books.

The Niners are plagued with injuries but they are still in it for a chance at the division.

As a Packers fan, all that is missing is the annual Vikings choke. Toss in the almost certain heartbreaking loss to the Niners in the first round of the playoffs and we have ourselves the cookie cutter Packers season.

How did I miss the best part?

The Jets, led by the washed up remnants of a once great Packers QB is 3-10. I don't think there is any greatness left.
And the Vikes proved to themselves once and for all what many have know for years, an inexpensive mobile QB is far more valuable than an expensive immobile one (unless his name is Tom Brady or Peyton Manning).

I really love how you tried to slip in McCarthy as being a great coach.

Reid and Mahomes are a lethal firehouse of morale that swells their team's mojo.
Great teamwork typically crafted top down.
Chiefs are a quality example.

On note of regular QBs learning their craft, 9ers are amazing with great players surrounding Purdy. I dig his style and starting blocks along the path of Montana "Cool Joe".

Hard to rule out the Broncos. Nix is coming around and that team is developing to be a good contender upcoming seasons. Regardless some who have a disdain for their head coach.

I'm not calling him Bill Belichick or anything, just saying that I don't see how a team makes it to winning a super bowl without a great coach. Not calling him the greatest, simply just great. I.e. better than good but lower than amazing.
