Football General Talk

As the college playoffs showed with Georgia trouncing FSU, recency matters. Lions are firing on all cylinders and they didn’t really lose to the Cowboys. I’ll bet money if they meet again this year, Detroit will beat Dallas.
Last I saw Dallas had more points than Detroit and won the game. mtmuley

Bills are determined to give me ulcers this year. Should of won by 15-20 points but just continue to shoot themselves in the foot just like all season, but they found a way tonight. They have lost those games all year.
Might of had a few to many sodas last night but feeling great where this is going!

A agree with the general premise (that when you play a team is important), but FSU was about having over a dozen top players not even being on the field.

I think one of the most impressive storylines of the season has to be the youth of the Packers offense and how they were able to learn throughout the season and produce a top caliber offense. Says a lot I think about how Love was prepared on that team over the last few years.

Think about it in reverse and how that turned out for the Carolina Panthers. Young fresh QB but lots of experience in that receiver core.

Scoreboard...

Aiden Hutchison and Micah Parsons get no called impeded more than not...chitty calls at critical junctures happen but that is exactly the emotional investment the league wants...they love the after contest jabber.

...and Dez caught it.

I was out ice fishing when that play happened, so I didn’t see it live. But I heard it.

Even our Green Bay radio play-by-play guys were speechless for a few seconds when they ruled no-catch. Then it was like “wow… I can’t believe they didn’t rule that a catch.” Robbed for sure on that one.

I'm skeptical that Detroit will get past LA, and my eyes tell me (opinion, I understand) that Detroit isn't playing as well as they did earlier in the year.
Agreed, earlier in the year lions were playing great. Last two games against elite WR (Ceedee and Jefferson) we have been getting torched. With Kupp, Nacua and Stafford, we got our work cut out for us. Lots of emotions in this game! Gonna be a good game

Very true- and Watson and Doubs are only Year 2.

Hate to say it, but I’m not sure Watson is long for this team.
You are absolutely right and I was just talking about this with a co-worker last week. Between Reed, Doubs, Wicks, Heath and apparently Melton - the Packers are set for the future. Watson just has been way to injury prone and likes to drop passes for the fun of it I think. The packers would be best to trade him away or simply just let him walk if no one wants him.

I am loathe to admit, but the cohesion of this young team developing over the latter half of this season makes them look like they are best positioned to dominate the NFC North over the next few years.
