Football General Talk

Can you imagine the silence and deflation is right now in NYC.

Thanks a rough 24hrs there

Jets D... pulled Allen's e-brake.

If not for fan-flippin-tastic D, game over with Wilson scampering around the field...

I wonder if we’ve seen the last of Rodgers? Sounds like, at a minimum, it’s a season ending injury.
MRI to tell all today. Here's to hoping it was a sprain and not a tear for sake of old salts still making the top QB list.
Rough for the Jets and fans considering the 1st, 2nd, and 6th picks for 2024 were exchanged for Rodgers.

If Rodgers is done for the season the compensation from the jets to the packers will change from a 1st round pick to a 2nd round pick.

I’m not sure why anyone who considers themselves a football fan, let alone a packers fan would be happy about a players season ending injury.

Rodgers, of course, was arguably the story of the NFL offseason, as the legend was dealt to the Jets for a first-round pick, second-round pick, sixth-round pick and a conditional 2024 second-round pick. The conditional second-round pick becomes a first-rounder if Rodgers plays 65% of the snaps in 2023.

My thoughts are about the 1st, 2nd, and 6th for '23. I believe this is what you're referring to?

Edit: Regardless, tough break all around. though for drafts given in '23 and a 2nd in '24 is a real tough break for the Jets and fans. I see what you were correcting. I placed '24, not '23. My bad. good catch.

We got three starters this year in exchange for the diva

The no 13 pick we got in exchange:

The no 42 pick we got:

The no 207 pick we got:

He’s not playing in 65% of the snaps so the packers get a 2nd round pick. A second round pick is still a good pick and if you make a good pick it could be more bang for your buck than a first rounder since you have to pay them less.

MRI confirmed a torn Achilles - out for the season. I feel so bad for you Jets fans with how bad this deal turned out for you but thank you for the free 2 picks (a 6th and 2nd rounder) and the two upgraded picks (1st by two spots and a fifth to a second).
