A classic Minnesota moment - lose on the field but win the administrative nanny state.

Perhaps it will convince a few decent offensive linemen or defensive secondaries to come to the wilderness of Minnesota instead of Miami or Dallas. Maybe. Certainly better than the reverse.

As Randy Moss said, "straight cash homey". Plus MN taxes ;)

There it is. @VikingsGuy . Had to happen but sorry to see it.

Was a great player once. Can probably still do real damage as a possession #2 or #3 receiver. But Vikes need their #2 to have top speed to pair with JJ and Thielen made it clear he was not willing to play the #3 role.

He, Kendricks, and Cook were great in their day, both as players and people, but have each been worn down over the years and each has a very high salary number for this year given their positions. Thielen would be highest paid #2 receiver in the league, Kendricks top 10 paid inside linebacker in a 3-4D and Cook #4 paid RB. It is time to move on from all three.

Cook, Hicks, Ham and ZD Smith will be gone this week too. And then the KAM rebuild will begin.

H Smith and O'Neil will restructure to spread money around.

TJ Hockenson and JJ will be signed to big extensions.

All sources, except for Rodgers, are reporting a deal is imminent for Aaron Rodgers between the Jets and Packers. He seems to be taking one out of Favre’s playbook.

I thought he was supposed to have this and so much more figured out after he came out of the dark room?

Oh god, please no. I don’t want Rogers on Vikes in ‘25.
