First Squirrel

I've been going backwards in my hunting experiences for the most part, starting with deer, pronghorn, ducks and turkeys so I decided to hit the woods this morning for some small game action. After a morning of hiking a bit, sitting for 10-20 minutes listening and looking for squirrels, and repeat for about 2.5 hours I started to head back to the truck and spotted one about 15 yards away as it popped out from the edge of the brush along the trail. One .22 later and I can check squirrel off the list. It was a much more relaxed hunt than I'm used to which was a nice change of pace. Definitely will be back out to the woods soon.

Saw lots of turkey sign too.

My wife was working until later this evening so it was a multi-sport day.

I don't get to do it near as much as I'd like, but squirrel hunting is one of my favorites. Congrats!
